Chiharu Shiota’s latest work joins the Fukuoka Art Museum’s lineup! 

One of the exemplars of modern Japanese art, Chiharu Shiota will be exhibiting her latest piece titled Kioku O Tadoru Fune at the Fukuoka Art Museum. Created expressly for installation in the Fukuoka Art Museum, this piece takes inspiration from the history of Fukuoka and will be unveiled to the public on September 16th in the museum’s contemporary art hall C during FaN Week 2023, 

For those interested, on the very same day at 14:00, she will be giving a talk to audiences (Japanese only).

5 minutes from Nishi Koen Ramp on Fukuoka Urban Expressway.
Dedicated parking lot for Fukuoka Art Museum (26 regular cars parking spaces, 200 yen per hour)
Hours of operation: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (only on days the museum is open)
The parking lot is usually very crowded. Please use public transportation.
