Come and take part in this experiential exhibition set up by one of today's hottest creators that is full of surprises and even heartwarming pieces.
Woodcarver Konno’s work will not only make you realize the possibilities of craftsmanship, but the value of observing, thinking, and the power of your imagination firsthand.
Woodcarver Konno (Kibori no Konno)/Woodcarving artist
Woodcarver Konno’s lifelike depictions of things like candy and even the transparency of a raw egg white are shockingly close to the real thing. In 2021 what began as a hobby during the pandemic was quickly noticed by SNS and TV shows, and by 2023 he quit his job as a public employee to become a professional artist.
Rather than create pieces of ‘fine art’, his goal is to make what he terms “communications tools”, or pieces that inspire conversation.
