World renowned star photographer and creator KAGAYA will be returning to the Fukuoka City Science Museum Dome Theater with a new, improved, and extended global version of his popular Star Trip photo show.

Visiting such places as Tekapo Lake in New Zealand, Mauna Kea Mountain in Hawaii, and the Uyuni Salt Flats in Bolivia, KAGAYA spent 3 years photographing the starry night skies from some of Earth’s most scenic locations. Using the projector of the Fukuoka City Science Museum Dome Theater these photos take on a realistic ambience, making it feel as if you were there in person with their breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views.

In this new global edition, the entirety of the original show has been remastered and made even more beautiful. This extended cut will also include previously unreleased footage that weaves together the memories of the journey in an even more profound way.

This show will instantly transport you on a journey around the world beneath the starry skies.

An artist who depicts the worlds of space and mythology. His planetarium show Night on the Galactic Railroad was screened nationwide and became a massive hit, attracting over 1 million viewers. He has also gained popularity as a photographer, publishing best-of photo books such as Starry Nights—The Best of the Best.

His starry sky photographs have been featured in elementary school science textbooks. He has over 900,000 followers on X (formerly Twitter), where he posts and shares his work.
In recognition of his contributions to popularizing astronomy and his achievements as an artist, asteroid 11949 has been named “kagayayutaka.”

Regarding Ticket Sales for Star Journey: World Edition - Remastered Long Version:
Tickets for this film will be sold via two methods: online and at the box office on the day of the screening.
① Online Sales
Online ticket sales for all screenings will begin on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 12:00 (noon).
*Online tickets will be available until 15 minutes before the start of each screening.
*The number of online tickets available for this film is approximately 100 per screening, which is about half of the total seating capacity.
② On-Site Ticket Sales
On the day of the screening, same-day tickets will be sold at the General Information/Ticket Counter on the 3rd floor of the Fukuoka City Science Museum.
*Even if online tickets sell out in advance, approximately 100 tickets—equivalent to about half of the total seating capacity—will be reserved for same-day sales.
