The starry night sky and music of Sakanaction come together for a moment of true night sky magic.

In this special and limited time event, the music of Japanese electronic alternative rock pioneers Sakanaction will combine with the cutting-edge technology of the science museum’s planetarium for a one-of-a-kind show! This special show has been awarded accolades abroad, having received both the Public Choice Award at the Immersive Film Festival 2017 in Portugal and the Best Fulldome Music Show award at IMMERSIVE FESTIVAL MADRID 2016. 

★Excellent music, superb acoustics
The music of electronic rock band Sakanaction has been specifically engineered to play in the dome theater, with the sound reverberating from 360 degrees in all directions. The cutting edge optical technology available in the Infinium Σ Planetarium, will allow you to enjoy this music while gazing upon a vast projection of the starry skies.

★Artist collaboration
The production’s narration will be done than none other than Sakanaction vocalist Ichiro Yamaguchi. With their rich literary qualities, Sakanaction’s lyrics blend seamlessly with the narration, transforming the entire space into one living and breathing work of art!

★About Sakanaction
Sakanaction formed in 2005, with their major debut coming two years later in 2007. In 2015 their music appeared in the film adaptation of the manga BAKUMAN。、for which they received their first Japanese academy award in the rock music category. In 2025 the song Kaiju (appearing as the theme track for the anime Orb: On the Movements of the Earth) conquered the music charts in Japan. Even as their forward thinking and diverse artistic efforts and collaboration bring them wider exposure, they remain well-loved and respected by rock music lovers throughout the country.

Show begins at 18:00 on weekdays, 19:15 on weekends and holidays. 

*There will be no screenings on Friday, August 1, 2025, Saturday, August 2, and Sunday, August 24. Please refer to the calendar above or the screening schedule for details on screening times.
*The venue will open 10 minutes before the start of the screening.
*The screening period is subject to change.

Flat rate: ¥1,200 (tax included)
Various discounts and annual passes are not accepted.

Ticket sales: Tickets will be sold in two ways: advance sales and same-day sales. 
Sales will end on a first-come, first-served basis once the number of tickets available has been reached.

Same-day sales: Tickets will be sold at the 3rd floor information desk/ticket counter of the Fukuoka City Science Museum starting at 9:30 AM on the day of the event.  
※Even if the pre-sale tickets are sold out, 60 same-day tickets per performance will be available for purchase.  
※If the pre-sale tickets are not sold out, same-day tickets will continue to be available for purchase online (Peatix).
