Tenjin Big Bang’s new hub, “Tenjin Business Center II,” opened on August 4, 2026. It is a large mixed-use building with 18 above-ground floors and 2 underground floors, built on the site of the former Fukuoka City Hall North Annex.

Centered around “Accelerium,” a seven-story atrium stretching from B2F to the 5F, is a highlight of the complex. The architectural design was supervised by architect Shohei Shigematsu (Partner at OMA and Head of the New York Office), who also oversaw the design of the original “Tenjin Business Center.” Another major attraction is the new installation “Aerosolar Rhythms” by international artist Tomás Saraceno.

The commercial zone features an impressive lineup of 16 stores, including several making their debut in Japan and Kyushu. On the 2nd and 3rd floors, “Junkudo Bookstore,” one of the largest in Kyushu and featuring a lounge and café, has relocated and reopened as Kyushu’s first branch! On the 1st floor, visitors can enjoy “Starbucks Reserve®,” making its Kyushu debut, and “Käfer ALPS KITCHEN,” serving Alpine cuisine for the first time in Japan.

On the second basement level, “Tenjin Gourmet Street Tenjin Inachika SOUTH side” features 11 unique shops, creating a major gourmet destination that connects to the adjacent “Tenjin Inachika NORTH side.”
