Higashi Park is nicknamed Hakata No Mori. The park was built by making the best use of the original landscape and natural surroundings of the pond and woods, making it the local's favorite park for sports and recreation. The many sporting facilities available on this massive 90 hectare park are perfect for anyone to come and enjoy. The park is probably best-known for being the home field for the local soccer club, Avispa Fukuoka.
